Our Story
We are a group of residents of Bledlow Ridge and surrounding villages who oppose the current plans to reopen the defunct HRC on Wigans Lane (planning application CM/0002/20).
The underlying law is uncertain, the applicant’s stance is simplistic and unsustainable, stripped of the safeguards of a council run facility.
The applicant is a Community Interest Company (CIC) created by two prominent local Councillors. Such details as exist are inconsistent, opaque and devoid of substance.
Here are a few of our concerns.
Traffic
Email between the CIC’s agent and the planners discuss “the second application” and show intent for 5X expansion, inclusion of trade waste and increase in HGV visits.
Wildlife
No investigation as to whether any protected species now inhabit the site, given the length of closure.
